0.001% of 2024 drag and drive racers run these ETs!
If you are reading this, you know drag and drive style events have exploded in the past three years! With 2021 hosting less than 10 events worldwide to 2024 seeing 38 events and more than 4500 participants, the segment has grown exponentially!
With more cars and attention, the list of quick cars continues to grow! 2024 saw 10 cars finish a weeklong event with a Six Second Average, up from seven in 2023, seven in 2022 and just two in 2021.
One last piece to this puzzle is the count of cars that made six second passes but didn’t finish the week…. These 15 cars had the capability to run the number but for one reason or another didn’t make the trip.
Out of the 10 six second averages, only four cars (0.001%) were able to run sixes each day of the week. Two of those events were completed by one guy, Bryant Goldstone! Brett LaSala with his 6.34 Average of Sick Week and Alex Taylor’s Hot Rod Drag Week 6.845 were the other two.
The next season will truly be one of the greatest the sport has ever witnessed. Many cars are being built and others are being prepped to take on these monumental tasks! Racers that have been in the low 7s are building/upgrading cars for this next season and we can’t wait to see these unleashed on the streets across the country!
We work diligently to be your source for news and entertainment in the drag and drive community and would like to ask you to subscribe or follow wherever you are seeing this.
