**NHRA changes Street Legal program rules!! 2014 and newer cars no longer need a cage to run as low as 9.00 1/4 mile ET (5.65 1/8th) and up to 150-mph!

“Changes to the Street Legal program will allow racers with 2014 and newer OEM model-year production cars to run as quick as 9.00-seconds and/or 150-mph (5.65-eighth mile). In addition, racers with 2008-2013 OEM model-year cars will still be permitted to run as quickly as 10.00-seconds and/or 135-mph (6.40-eighth mile).”

**Summit Racing Midwest Drags will not change their rules for 2022! Heid, founder of SRMD, stated “100 days is just too close to the event to make changes for our racers.” From allowing racers to use Methanol to allowing more carbon/fiberglass, HRDW is making changes to their rules.
