Joe Ernst submitted his Co-Pilot Spotlight for Robert Mumford for their adventure at RMRW 2021
One of our questions is “Tell us a story about how your co-pilot saved the day”. Joe’s response was:
“Normally I'm a pretty calm guy, but a few miles outside of Bandimere, heading into the mountains, the car died for the eleventy-millionth time, this time right in the middle of a very busy intersection. I blew my flipping lid and started cursing like a sailor. Robert kept his cool, jumped out and stopped traffic, and then we pushed the car across 3 lanes of highway onto the shoulder. That was as close as I ever came to throwing in the towel, but there was no way I could let my co-pilot down and quit, so we kept going and eventually finished RMRW 2021.”
