Will RMRW Records be broken this year??

Racing kicks off soon here at Texas Motorplex for Day Two of racing in the 10th running of Rocky Mountain Race Week!

We are watching several classes very closely as there may be opportunities for the records to fall this year. Disclaimer: It’s so freaking hot that we may not even see these racers here today!

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room, Bryant Goldstone and Brian Robbins are here in the Javelin and have laid down what may be the Quickest Pass in RMRW history with his 6.811 at Day One pass after midnight!! (I am working to get the early history of the event) Bryant is on site as I type this article.

Other classes that are working towards new record Averages are plentiful after Day One! (After I finish this, I am headed to the pits to talk with racers!)

Naturally Aspirated Small Block - Current Record 10.254 by Matt Koetting in 2023 - Current Racer that is ahead of record - Sean Stafford in his 2020 Camaro - 9.572

The most competitive classes at Rocky Mountain Race Week tend to be the Index ones!

9.00 Index - Record Holder - Luna Tran from 2023 with a 9.087 Average - Currently there are three racers ahead of this ET (again, after day one) - Current Leader Jeremy Wilson with 9.016, followed by Shawn Slaubaugh with a 9.022 and Brian Walden rounding out the three with a 9.066

10.00 Index - Record Holder - Andrew Dopita from 2020 with a 10.029 Average - Current Class Leader Mike Mead has a 10.018

11.00 Index - Record Holder - 11.012 shared by Sarah Walton and TJ Johnson, both in 2018. Two racers are ahead with Landen Jenson leading the charge with an 11.002 and Lynn Holman following with an 11.006

13.00 Index - Record Holder - Jerry Stafford with a 13.014 - Current Class Leader is Nicole in the Mach-E Mustang with her 13.012

We will be working through the standings after tonight’s racing to keep you updated on the race!
