Looking for Redemption!

Steve Eden and Pete Holm return to Sick Summer for REDEMPTION!!

Steve and Pete are lifelong friends that happen to have the longest running completion record in Hot Rod Drag Week history!! These guys completed 15 Hot Rod Drag Weeks, in a row, in Steve’s Nova!! That was until the summer of 2023……

Steve and Pete live near the Sick Summer route so they signed up to try their hand at one of the many new events that were developed for the 2023 season. This event would be their first event to attend outside their trusty Hot Rod Drag Week. The team was geared up in Steve’s trusty Nova as usual and took a run at the new event that promised less miles and more fun.

The long-time team were doing great in the DYO class, with a spread of just 0.012 heading into the final drive when disaster struck and the engine decided it no longer wanted to drag and drive. Without the right tools and parts, the team would have to bow out of their first event after 15 attempts.

I am so excited to see this picture of them back in the car, back at Sick Summer, to get their redemption. Help me in cheering for these guys this week and let’s send them all the good fortune we can!
